Meet Our Counselors
Marcia McWhorter: BSN, RN, MTS, CCMFT, Director of NBCC.
 Marcia has a Bachelors Degree in Nursing and is a RN in the State of Georgia.  She holds a Masters in Counseling  &
is a Nationally Certified Marriage and Family Therapist.  She has been a counselor for over 30 years with multiple resources. As the Director of New Beginnings Counseling, her experience of teaching in colleges or supervising counselors opens levels of insight for your personal issues. Her main areas of concentration is in premarital, marital, family, relationships, children or anxiety, depression, or sickness and can motivate you with healthy coaching.  She can come up with multiple options and varied approaches to fixing problems.  She  loves teaching seminars and is a speaker at healing retreats. She enjoys being a consultant for  those in counseling, mentoring, ministry or mission areas.   She has a great compassion for those hurting, sparks new life and purpose, and challenges you to find the REAL YOU, grow in your gifts and develop healthy relationships!                   Email: M[email protected]   

​​Y olanda Monteiro: MA, NCC, LPC, CPCS. Clinical Consultant for NBCC
 Yolanda earned a Master’s Degree in Clinical Counseling/ Psychology from Cleveland State University.   She is  a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Georgia and a National Certified Counselor.   She's  supervised counselors for many years now being a Certified Professional Counseling Supervisor in Georgia and brings a professional expertise to our center.   She specializes in grief, depression and anxiety as well as marital and family issues. She has focused herself on delivering the highest quality of care. Her sensitivity and compassion seeks to contribute to improving the lives of others and bring a place of restoration.   Yolanda has a heart to see the people healed and made whole again in spirit, mind and body.                                                   Email: [email protected] 

Tara Taylor: MAPC, LPC.
 Tara has a Bachelor's Degree in Interpersonal Communication with a Masters in Professional Counseling from Liberty University.   She is currently a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Georgia.   She has worked in marital and family situations for years as well as individuals with self-esteem issues, depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, and adult survivors of child abuse trauma.   She has worked in school environments as well as teen and adult groups in multiple areas.    She desires to see you find a place of comfort, healing, and restoration.                                                                                                                           Email: [email protected]

Dr. Cheryl Fultz: Doctor of Biblical Counseling BA, MBC, PhD.
 Cheryl has received her Bachelor’s of Arts in Theology with a Master's and Doctorate in Biblical/Christian Counseling from North Carolina College of Theology.   A passion of hers is to work with married couples, families, youth, and Individuals or in preparing couples for marriage.   She is a native of Pennsylvania where she had worked for over 20 years as an inner-city youth pastor counseling youth and their families.  As a minister she counseled and worked in her church.   She as a therapeutic staff support person provided mental health services to children who were emotionally disturbed, dealing with coping issues, helping with anger/frustration management or managing behaviors.  Another passion was working in the prisons as a spiritual advisor to those needing direction.   Upon relocating to Georgia, she has served as the NBCC Director for counseling of a Single Moms Grant Program and is presently a Pastoral Counselor and works as a technology teacher substitute part time at Parkview Christian School. She has a passion and desire to help those that feel broken or hurting become whole again and believes that sometimes you just need a helping hand with some guidance and prayer.                 Email: [email protected]
Angela Schieber: BA, MAEd, MAPC, Pastoral Counselor.
 Angel has a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and two Master's Degrees: a Master’s in Education and a Masters in Pastoral Counseling with Addiction and Recovery from Liberty University.   She has over 28 years of living clean and sober herself.   She offers a wealth of knowledge and personal experience in living a life in long-term recovery. She states, "It is with a grateful heart I am drawn to assist people with healing, restoration, and reconciliation by providing individual support, emotional and spiritual guidance, care, and kindness "  Together we can find meaning again, create new a new normal in life, and discover life's purpose, beyond strife, struggles, and the challenges.
